DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Case 1 DTC Strategy
  • Check Phase current (coil open)
  1. Poor Connection
  2. Short to power in signal circuit
  3. Open in ground circuit
  4. Faulty EWP
  5. Coolant quantity
  6. Air inside of coolant
  7. Faulty EWP controller
Enable Conditions
  • Motor speed is faster than 2000 RPM
  • PWM duty cycle is greater than 25%
  • Battery voltage is between 9V and 16.5V
Threshold Value
  • 1 Phase coil open
  • 2 Phase coil open
Diagnosis Time
  • 0.5s
MIL On Condition
  • Immediately
Case 2 DTC Strategy
  • Check Gate Driver IC (short circuit)
Enable Conditions
  • Gate Driver IC Fault Code
  • Battery voltage is between 11V and 16.5V
Threshold Value
  • Blown Fuse current
Diagnosis Time
  • 0.5s
MIL On Condition
  • Immediately
