Component Inspection: Notes
- Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"
- Connect probe back to Pin No. 3 (Signal) terminal of Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor harness connector.
- Measure voltage between Pin No. 3 (Signal) terminal of Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Voltage increases in proportion to pressure drop
Pressure (kPa) 50 15 0 -20 Voltage 4.5V 2.5V 1.6V 0.5V - Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- Perform "Evap. Leakage Test" procedure and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
CAUTION:- Install the component with the specified torques.
- Note that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped or mistreated.
