Component Inspection: Notes

  1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"
  2. Connect probe back to Pin No. 3 (Signal) terminal of Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor harness connector.
  3. Measure voltage between Pin No. 3 (Signal) terminal of Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Voltage increases in proportion to pressure drop

    Pressure (kPa) 50 15 0 -20
    Voltage 4.5V 2.5V 1.6V 0.5V
  4. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • Perform "Evap. Leakage Test" procedure and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    CAUTION:
    • Install the component with the specified torques.
    • Note that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped or mistreated.
