Signal Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Refer to FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR (FTPS) and disconnect Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS) connector.
  3. Ignition "ON"
  4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 3 (Signal) terminal of Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS) harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. 0V

  5. Ignition "OFF"
  6. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
  7. Refer to FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR (FTPS) and disconnect Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS) connector.
  8. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Signal) terminal of Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS) harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  ∞ (infinite)Ω

  9. Is measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO
