Signal Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
- Refer to ELECTRIC EGR CONTROL VALVE and ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) and disconnect EGR Valve and ECM/PCM connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 4 (Signal) terminal of EGR Valve harness connector and Pin No. 15 (Signal) terminal of ECM/PCM harness connector.
Specification: Approx. below 1Ω
- Is measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "EGR Actuator Motor (+) Circuit Inspection" procedure below.
NO
- Repair open or short in signal circuit between EGR Valve and PCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
