Signal Circuit Inspection: Notes
- Ignition "OFF".
- Refer to CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (CMPS) and disconnect Intake Camshaft Position Sensor connector.
- Ignition "ON".
- Measure voltage between Pin No. 2 (Signal) terminal of Intake Camshaft Position Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. 4.8V
- Is measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "Check short to ground in harness" procedure below.
NO
- Repair open or short in signal circuit between Intake Camshaft Position Sensor and PCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
