Signal Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Refer to CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (CKPS) and disconnect Crankshaft Position Sensor connector.
- Ignition "ON".
- Measure voltage between Pin No. 2 (Signal) terminal of Crankshaft Position Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. 4.8V
- Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- go to "Component Inspection " procedure.
NO
- Repair open or short in signal circuit between Crankshaft Position Sensor and ECM/PCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
