DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Case 1 DTC Strategy
  • Sensor signal cycle check
  • Poor Connection
  • Faulty MAFS circuit
  • Faulty MAFS
Enable Condition
  • Engine running condition
  • Battery voltage ranges from 10V to 16V
  • Time after engine start greater than 0.5s
  • Time after Ignition on greater than 0.8s
Threshold Value
  • Sensor signal cycle is short:

Sensor signal cycle less than 85μs, Calculated air volume greater than 655kg/h

  • Sensor signal cycle is long

Sensor signal cycle greater than 555μs, Calculated air volume less than 7kg/h

Detecting Time
  • 2s
Case 2 DTC Strategy
  • Sensor diagnostic error signal check
Enable Condition
  • Battery voltage ranges from 11V to 16V
  • When engine start, engine speed ranges from 928 to 1312 RPM (Depends on coolant temperature)
  • Pressure rate (Intake manifold pressure/Barometric pressure) is lower than 0.8
Threshold Value
  • Air intake area correction value is lower than -90% to -40%, and higher than 40% to 90%. (Depens on barometric pressure and throttle position)
Detecting Time
  • 5s
Case 3 DTC Strategy
  • Sensor diagnostic error signal check
Enable Condition
  • Battery voltage ranges from 11V to 16V
  • When engine start, engine speed ranges from 928 to 1312 RPM (Depends on coolant temperature)
  • Pressure rate (Intake manifold pressure/barometric pressure) is higher than 0.8
Threshold Value
  • Air intake area correction value is lower than -30% to -20%, and higher than 20% to 30%. (Depends on barometric pressure)
Detecting Time
  • 5s
