Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Information
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
- Be careful not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the front seat assembly (both sides).
(Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the cluster fascia panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CLUSTER FASCIA PANEL ")
- Remove the glove box housing.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "GLOVE BOX HOUSING ")
- Remove the center fascia panel and center fascia lower panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CENTER FASCIA PANEL ")
- Remove the crash pad main lower panel.

- Remove the steering wheel.
(Refer to Steering System - "STEERING WHEEL ")
- Remove the steering column shroud lower panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "STEERING COLUMN SHROUD PANEL ")
- Using a remover, remove the center speaker grille (A).
- Disconnect the photo sensor connector (A) and auto light sensor connector (B) and then remove the center speaker grille (C).
- Separate the center speaker (A) after loosening the screw.
- Remove the center speaker (B) after disconnecting the connector (A).
- Remove the both sides of mid-range speaker grille (A) by using a remover.
- Separate the both sides of mid-range speaker (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.
- Remove the both sides of mid-range speaker (B) after disconnecting the connector (A).
- Disconnect the airbag connector (B) and loosen the mounting bolts (A).
- Remove the main crash pad assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts & nuts.
- Remove the passenger airbag (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure that the connectors are connected in properly.
- Replace any damaged clips.
