Control Circuit Inspection

■ Control (High) Circuit Inspection 

1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Refer to FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR and disconnect Fuel Pressure Regulator connector.
3. Ignition "ON".
4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 2 (High) terminal of Fuel Pressure Regulator harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Approx. 2.5 V

5. Is the measured value within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Control (Low) Circuit Inspection" procedure below.

   NO 

   • Repair open or short in control (Low) circuit between Fuel Pressure Regulator and PCM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

■ Control (Low) Circuit Inspection 

1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
3. Refer to FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR and ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) and disconnect Fuel Pressure Regulator and PCM connector.
4. Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (Low) terminal of Fuel Pressure Regulator harness connector and Pin No. 90 (Low) terminal of PCM harness connector.

   Specification  : Approx. below 1Ω

5. Is the measured value within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Component Inspection " procedure.

   NO 

   • Repair open or short in control (High) circuit between Fuel Pressure Regulator and PCM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
