Control Circuit Inspection
■ Control (High) Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Refer to FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR and disconnect Fuel Pressure Regulator connector.
- Ignition "ON".
- Measure voltage between Pin No. 2 (High) terminal of Fuel Pressure Regulator harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. 2.5 V
- Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "Control (Low) Circuit Inspection" procedure below.
NO
- Repair open or short in control (Low) circuit between Fuel Pressure Regulator and PCM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
■ Control (Low) Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
- Refer to FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR and ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) and disconnect Fuel Pressure Regulator and PCM connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (Low) terminal of Fuel Pressure Regulator harness connector and Pin No. 90 (Low) terminal of PCM harness connector.
Specification : Approx. below 1Ω
- Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "Component Inspection " procedure.
NO
- Repair open or short in control (High) circuit between Fuel Pressure Regulator and PCM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
