DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage monitoring
  1. Poor Connector Connection
  2. Short to Battery or Open in TPS1 Signal Circuit
  3. Open in TPS Supply Circuit
  4. Faulty TPS1
Enable Condition Case 1
  • Ignition "ON"
Case 2
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Engine operating state idle:
    • Pedal value lower than 0.01 % (Pedal sensor 1 voltage 0.859V, not pushed at all)
    • TPS setpoint lower than 58%
    • TPS1 and TPS2 ratio failure detected or TPS2 failure detected
Threshold Value Case 1
  • TPS1 signal voltage higher than 4.9V
Case 2
  • TPS1 signal voltage at idle higher than 3.0V
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON Condition
  • 1 Driving cycle
