Repair Procedures: Removal

Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the KDS/GDS when replacing with a new TCM.

Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER - 2.0L MPI NU ")
Remove the battery.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY - 2.0L MPI NU ")
Disconnect the TCM connector (A).

Remove the TCM (A).
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
