Component Inspection

■ Perform HO2S (B1S1) Heater Actuation Test

Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
Ignition "ON" & Engine "RUN"
Perform "Actuation Test" for "O2 Heater Front".

Does the HO2S (B1S1) Heater operate properly? (Check variation)
YES
- Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
NO
- Go to next procedure.

■ Inspect HO2S (B1S1) Heater (Linear Type)

Ignition "OFF"
Disconnect HO2S (B1S1) connector.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (Power) terminal and Pin No. 5 (Control) terminal of the HO2S (B1S1) Heater. (component side)
Specification: Approx. 2.4 to 4.0Ω at 20°C (68°F)
Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
NO
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the HO2S (B1S1) and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
