Repair Procedures: Installation

- Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
- Install the SRSCM with the SRSCM mounting bolt and nuts.
Tightening torque:
8.0 - 14.0 N.m (0.8 - 1.4 kgf.m, 5.9 - 10.3 lb.ft)
NOTE: Use new mounting bolts when replacing the SRSCM after a collision.
When installing the SMSCM bolt, install the ground wire (B) with a bolt as indicated above picture. - Connect the SRSCM harness connector.
- Install the rear air vent duct and floor console.

- Reconnect the battery negative cable.
- After installing the SRSCM, confirm proper system operation:
- Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off.
