DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check clutch performance
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty HCA
  • Faulty CSC
  • Faulty hydraulic pressure line
  • Faulty clutch cover
  • Faulty clutch disc
Info Code Inspection
  • Refer to 'HCU Fault Information 1 ~ 10' in the sensor data of the diagnostic unit HCU Error Code 
Case 1 Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Auxiliary battery voltage is between 9 and 16V
  • HCU Ready "ON"
  • HEV Ready "ON"
  • No CAN communication fault
  • LUK learning not executed
  • No engine/motor/transmission/engine clutch fault
  • Gear position is P or N
  • PT mode is EV mode
  • Engine/motor speed sensor is normal
  • Motor speed is higher than 500 RPM
Threshold Value
  • Motor speed - engine speed is lower than 150 RPM for 5s

Case 2 Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Auxiliary battery voltage is between 9 and 16V
  • HCU Ready "ON"
  • HEV Ready "ON"
  • No CAN communication fault
  • LUK learning not executed
  • No engine/motor/transmission/engine clutch fault
  • Vehicle is lower than 1km/h (0.62MPH)
  • PT mode = engine Idle or series
  • Gear position is P
  • Engine clutch disengaged
  • DCT is normal state
Threshold Value
  • Motor speed - engine speed is lower than 400 RPM for 5s

Case 3 Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Auxiliary battery voltage is between 9 and 16V
  • HCU Ready "ON"
  • HEV Ready "ON"
  • No CAN communication fault
  • LUK learning not executed
  • No engine/motor/transmission/engine clutch fault
  • Vehicle is lower than 1km/h (0.62MPH)
  • PT mode is engine Idle
  • Gear position is not P or N
  • DCT is normal state or engine is not cranking state
  • Engine speed is higher than 500 RPM
  • Engine is cranking state or gear position is D or R
  • Engine clutch disengaged
Threshold Value
  • Motor speed - engine speed is lower than 120 RPM for 0.4s

Case 4 Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Auxiliary battery voltage is between 9 and 16V
  • HCU Ready "ON"
  • HEV Ready "ON"
  • No CAN communication fault
  • LUK learning not executed
  • No engine/motor/transmission/engine clutch fault
  • Vehicle status is normal
  • Gear position is P
  • EOL learning is completed
  • No actuation test mode
  • Brake pedal and acceleration pedal is "OFF"
  • Engine/motor/HSG speed sensor is normal
  • PT mode is 'stop' and engine clutch is open
  • Engine soaking time is over 4h
  • Within 15s after HEV "Ready"
Threshold Value
  • If the motor speed is over 50 RPM and the HSG speed is over 125 RPM for 3s when target speed of motor is 150 RPM Phase 1 is set
  • Engine and motor synchronization for 3s after Phase 1 is set

  • Engine/motor speed is not synchronization for 5s
