Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
NOTE:
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces to protect from marring the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
(Refer to Rear Seat - "REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the rear seat back assembly.
(Refer to Rear Seat - "REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the front pillar trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "FRONT PILLAR TRIM ")
- Remove the center pillar upper trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "CENTER PILLAR TRIM ")
- Remove the rear package tray trim. (4Door, 2Door)
(Refer to Interior Trim - "REAR PACKAGE TRAY TRIM ")
- Remove the sunvisor and retainer.

- Remove the assist handle.
(Refer to Roof Trim - "ASSIST HANDLE ")
- Remove the garment hook. (2Door)

- Remove the overhead console lamp.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "OVERHEAD CONSOLE LAMP ")
- Remove the room lamp.

- Remove the rear window glass.

- Tilt the front seat back towards the rear of the vehicle as far as possible.
- Remove the ECM mirror cover (A).
- Disconnect the ECM mirror connector (B).
- Remove the auto defog sensor cover (A).
- Disconnect the auto defog sensor connector (B).
- Disconnect the roof trim main connector (A) and the mounting clips (B) in the front pillar.
[Driver's]
- Using a clip remover, detach the roof trim assembly mounting clips.
- Pull back the roof trim assembly (A) through the place where the rear window glass was removed.CAUTION:
- Take care not to damage the roof trim when removing.
- Remove the vanity lamp.

- Remove the hands free mic.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "HANDS FREE MIC ")
- Remove roof trim wiring harness (A) from the roof trim (B).NOTE:
- Take care not to damage the roof trim wiring harness (A) when removing.

Information
- Apply the hot melt continuously when installing the roof trim wiring harness (A) on the roof trim (B) using the hot melt gun tool.
- Put anti-noise pad (C) on roof trim (B) to prevent the noise.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
- Replace any damaged clips.
