Component Inspection

  1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF" and Using a GDS, clear the DTC.
  2. Ignition "OFF".
  3. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least one minutes.
  4. Disconnect WCS sensor connector.
  5. Substitute the WCS sensor or Wire Harness and check for proper operation.
  6. Clear DTC.
  7. Doing WCS Reset.
  8. Is DTC present problem?

    YES 

    • Substitute a known-good WCS sensor, and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace WCS sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure and Using a GDS, clear the DTC and Go to "WCS RESET " procedure.

    • Substitute the WCS sensor main harness and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, and replace WCS sensor main harness and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure and Using a GDS, clear the DTC and Go to "WCS RESET " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute a known-good WCS Sensor or known-good seat assembly or WCS Module, and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace WCS Sensor or seat assembly and Using a GDS, clear the DTC and Go to "WCS RESET " procedure.
