Monitor KDS/GDS Data

  1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Select parameters concerned DTC in "Current Data" of KDS/GDS and check below parameters during cranking.
  3. Check the "Current Data" about related DTC with KDS/GDS.

    Specification:  Refer to Fig 1, Fig 2

  4. If the parameter is not similar with shown data, measure related waveforms with KDS/GDS.

    Channel A: CKPS & CMPS synchronization - There are about 20 tooth between the CKPS missing tooth and CMPS signal.

    Channel B: CKPS & CMPS synchronization - There are about 20 tooth between the CKPS missing tooth and CMPS signal.

  5. Are the parameters displayed correctly?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector or was repaired and ECM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification Of REPAIR " procedure.
