Check ECTS

Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect ECTS connector.
Measure resistance between Pin No. 4 (Signal) terminal and Pin No. 3 (Ground) terminal of the ECTS. (Component Side)
Specification: Approx. 1.9 kΩ at 25°C (77 °F) & 0.505 kΩ at 65°C (149 °F)

Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the ECTS and go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
