Check Short to Ground in FPS Power Circuit

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Disconnect the FPS and ECM connectors.
  3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (Power) terminal of FPS harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  ∞ (infinite)Ω

  4. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the FPCM and go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
