Check IATS performance

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect MAPS connector.
  3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (IAT. Sensor) terminal and Pin No. 4 (Sensor Ground) terminal of the MAPS. (Component Side)

    Specification:  Approx. 2.2kΩ at 25°C (77°F)

  4. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the MAPS and go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
