Introduction Of Emergency Signal System (ESS)

In case of sudden braking by the driver, the brake lamps or hazard lamps blink to warn vehicles at the back.

  1. Basic function (Blinking of the brake lamps/hazard lamps)
    • Operating condition: In case of sudden brake or operation of ABS above certain speed
    • Releasing condition: In case of ending the sudden braking or releasing the ABS operation
  2. Additional function (Blinking of the hazard lamps)
    • Operating condition: In case of sudden brake at low speed
    • Releasing condition: Releasing at the start of driving
