Virtual Limit

  1. Virtual Limit Setting Conditions and Positions

Set an arbitrary virtual limit using any of the methods below since there is no separate switch limiting the operations of slide, back rest and front/rear height adjusting motors:

    1. Slide recall: When there is no slide motor pulse input (mechanical end stop) through 6 or more pulses for 2 seconds during any operation triggered by a manual switch and memory recall operation, stop the motor immediately and set a position 6 pulses ahead of the limit position in the driving direction (same for the opposite limit setting).
Set position Virtual Limit Setting Conditions Virtual Limit Setting Positions
Slide 6 pulses in 2 seconds 6 pulses from restricted position
Back Rest adjustment (recline) 155 pulses in 2 seconds 155 pulses from restricted position
Front tilt 6 pulses in 1 second 6 pulses from restricted position
Rear height adjustment 6 pulses in 1.5 seconds 6 pulses from restricted position

      * Pulse: A waveform unit to measure revolution of a motor

    2. Once a virtual limit has been set, do not perform any memory recall operation to a position out of the limit range, in order to prevent motor damage due to kinematic locking.
    3. Renew the limit position in case of normal pulse input from the position by memory manipulation with the limit set.
  2. Virtual Limit Setting Procedure
    1. Slide: To set a virtual limit, move the seat to foremost position and hold it for 2 seconds, and then move it to rearmost position and hold it for 2 seconds.
    2. Back Rest adjustment (recline): To set a virtual limit, move the back rest to foremost position and hold it for 2 seconds, and then move it to rearmost position and hold it for 2 seconds.
    3. Front tilt: To set a virtual limit, move the seat to uppermost position and hold it for 1 second, and then move it to bottommost position and hold it for 1 second.
    4. Rear height adjustment: To set a virtual limit, move the seat to uppermost position and hold it for 1.5 seconds, and then move it to bottommost position and hold it for 1.5 seconds.
