Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Check for short in harness 

1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect APS and EPCU main harness connector.
3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (APS1 Signal) terminal of the APS harness connector and chassis

   Specification:  ∞ (Infinity)Ω

4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

   YES 

   • Go to "Check for Open in harness" procedure below.

   NO 

   • Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

■ Check for Open in harness 

1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect APS harness connector.
3. Ignition "ON" (Power Button LED "Red")
4. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (APS1 Signal) terminal of the APS harness connector Pin No. 33 (APS1 Signal) terminal of EPCU harness connector.

   Specification:  Approx. 1 Ω below

5. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

   YES 

   • Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.

   NO 

   • Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
