Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove rear bumper cover.

    (Proceed to Body - "REAR BUMPER COVER ")

  3. Remove the connector (A).

  4. Remove the bracket (B) and receiver (C) as loosen the screw (A).

  5. Loosen the screw (A-2) remove the bracket (B) from the receiver (C).

    Tightening Torque: 

    3.9 ~ 24.5 N.m (0.4 ~ 2.5 kgf.m, 2.9 ~ 18.1 lb-ft)

  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  7. Re-connect the battery, and then turn on the ignition.
    CAUTION:
    • Firmly fasten the receiver connector until you hear a click.
    • Be careful not to damage any parts when moving or loading them.
  8. Replace the receiver, and then perform the learning process using a diagnostic instrument (GDS).
