Remove the Lateral Arm.
- Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from front hub.
Tightening Torque:
88.3 ~ 107.9 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.1 ~ 79.6 lb-ft)
CAUTION:- Be careful not to damage to the hub bolts when removing the rear wheel and tire (A).
- Loosen the flange bolt (A) & lock nut (B).
Tightening Torque:
137.3 ~ 156.9N.m (14.0 ~ 16.0kgf.m, 101.3 ~ 115.7lb-ft)
- Unscrew the flange bolt (A) and lock nut (B) to disconnect the lateral arm (C) from the strut assembly (D).
Tightening Torque:
137.3 ~ 156.9N.m (14.0 ~ 16.0kgf.m, 101.3 ~ 115.7lb-ft)
CAUTION:- Make sure that the orientation is correct before tightening the bolts.
- Tightening the bolts in the opposite direction creates an insufficient tie-rod gap.
- Remove the split pin (A) and castle nut (B).
Tightening Torque:
88.3 ~ 107.9 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.1 ~ 79.6 lb-ft)
- Apply grease to the special tool (09568-2J100), as displayed in the following image. Then, use the special tool to disconnect the lateral arm (A) from the knuckle.

Remove the Tension Arm.
- Disconnect the pin and castle nut from the tie-rod end (A) and tension arm (B).
Tightening Torque
Tie rod: 88.3 ~ 107.9 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.1 ~ 79.6 lb-ft)
Tension arm: 88.3 ~ 107.9 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.1 ~ 79.6 lb-ft)
- Apply grease to the special tool (09568-2J100), as displayed in the following image. Then, use the special tool to remove the tie-rod end (A) and tension arm (B) from the knuckle.
- Disconnect the flange bolt and lock nut to remove the tension arm (A) from the frame.
Tightening Torque:
137.3 ~ 156.9N.m (14.0 ~ 16.0kgf.m, 101.3 ~ 115.7lb-ft)
CAUTION:- Tightening the bolts in the inverse direction makes installing the subframe more difficult, so pay attention to the orientation during assembly.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Check the alignment.
