Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Remove the active air flap (AAF), if necessary.
  2. Loosen the hood latch (A) mounting bolts and clip.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 ~ 11.8N.m (0.8 ~ 1.2kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

  3. Disconnect the hood latch connector (A) and remove the hood latch wiring mounting clips.

  4. Disconnect the hood latch release handle cable (B) and hood latch wiring (C) from the hood latch assembly (A).

  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

    Information 

    • Make sure the hood latch release cable is connected properly.
    • Make sure the hood locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly.
    • Adjust the latch alignment.
