Component Inspection

■ Actuation Test 

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector.
  2. Perform "DBC/HAC Brake Lamp Relay" in the "Actuation Test  " with GDS
  3. Watch for brake lamp when actuation test is performed.

    Specification:  Visually Brake lamp "ON"

  4. Does Brake Lamp Relay operate as intended?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection and/or Brake Lamp Relay (Stop Signal Electronic Module) connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good Brake Lamp Relay (Stop Signal Electronic Module) and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace Brake Lamp Relay (Stop Signal Electronic Module) and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
