Verification Of Vehicle Repair

■ Actuation Test 

1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. IG "ON".
3. Perform "Inlet and outlet valves" in the "Actuation Test  " with GDS.
4. Listen carefully for valve operating sound.

   Specification:  "Tik" sound is heard

5. Do the valves operate as intended?

   YES 

   • Fault might be intermittent caused by poor connection and/or HECU's connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

   NO 

   • Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
   NOTE: * In case of replacing HECU, perform following procedures.
   

   1. "ASP Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction.
   2. "Longitudinal G-Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction. (refer to C1285 )
   3. "Perform Variant Coding". (refer to C1702 )
