GDS Data Analysis

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector. (DLC)
  2. IG "ON".
  3. In case of historic DTC: Erase DTC and go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
  4. In case of active DTC: Perform following procedure.
  5. Step on the brake pedal firmly.
  6. Monitor the "Brake Light Switch" parameter in the "Current Data  " with GDS.

    Specification:  Refer to Fig 1

  7. Does Brake Light Switch (NO) parameter changes as brake pedal is pressed?

    YES 

    • Fault might be intermittent caused by poor connection in brake light switch line and/or HECU's connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
