DTC C1285: Sensor Cluster Change Detection/Uncalibrated: General Description
The ESP is the acronym for Electronic Stability Program. The ESP is a braking system that combines the functions of a brake servo unit and the ABS (Antilock Braking System) equipment including ESP. The ESP is a technology that improves the safety of a vehicle's stability by detecting and reducing loss of traction. When ESP detects loss of a steering control, it automatically applies the brakes to help steer the vehicle where the driver intends to go. Braking is automatically applied to wheels individually. ESP incorporates yaw rate control into the ABS. Yaw is a rotation around the vertical axis. ABS enable ESP to brake individual wheels. The data from the way sensor is compared with the data from the steering wheel angle sensor to determine regulating action.
