Component Inspection

■ Longitudinal G Sensor Calibration 

  1. IG ON, ENG OFF.
  2. Place the vehicle on a flat ground without any inclination.
  3. Set the steering wheel at the center position.
  4. Check for vehicle tire pressure and unload the vehicle.
  5. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector. (DLC)
  6. Perform Longitudinal G Sensor Calibration. (Fig 1)

  7. Is any DTCs stored in the system?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known-good Yaw rate sensor and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace Yaw rate sensor and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

      * In a case of replacing the Yaw rate sensor, operate "Longitudinal G Sensor Calibration" in Vehicle S/W Management menu of the GDS.

    NO 

    • This fault might be intermittently caused by poor connection of the Yaw rate Sensor or yaw rate sensor was not calibrated. Go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
