Component Inspection
- Cycle the ignition to "OFF" and "ON" again.
- Line up wheels like Fig 1).
- Perform the wheel alignment
- Line up the wheel in a straight.
- Go forward and backward 2~3 times without holding wheel.
- Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) " mode.
- Perform "ASP Calibration" in the "Vehicle S/W Management " with GDS in the MDPS system.
- Once calibration is carried out, turn the steering wheel to lock to lock position at least once, and check for DTCs with GDS.
- Are any DTCs stored in the system?
YES
- Replace steering angle sensor and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
- Replace HECU and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
NOTE: * In case of replacing the Steering Angle Sensor, operate "ASP Calibration" with GDS.
* In case of replacing HECU, perform following procedures.NO
- This fault might be intermittently caused by poor connection of the Steering Angle Sensor or Steering Angle Sensor was not calibrated. Go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
