GDS Data Analysis

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector. (DLC)
  2. Engine "ON".
  3. Diagnose ABS/ESP with GDS for DTC and state information.
  4. In case of historic DTC: Erase DTC and go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
  5. In case of active DTC: Perform following procedure.
  6. Monitor the "Pressure Sensor" parameter on the "Current Data  " with GDS while firmly pressing brake pedal and release.

    Specification:  Approx. 60bar ~150bar (There is difference in displayed parameter according to braking force)

  7. Is the parameter displayed changes as pressing/releasing brake pedal?

    YES 

    • Fault might be caused by having been repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Clear the DTC and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
    NOTE: * In case of replacing HECU, perform following procedures.
    1. "ASP Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction (refer to C1261 )
    2. "Longitudinal Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to C1285 )
    3. "Variant Coding" (refer to C1702 )
