SERVICE INFORMATION

This TSB provides information regarding an improved and updated air bleeding tool which was distributed to dealerships at no cost on February 28, 2023, as part of SC258 - EPCU Leak Inspection & Replacement. The previous air bleeding tool (SST 09580 3D100) is equipped with a plastic air valve which is susceptible to premature wear, causing air leaks, and providing erroneous test results. The new air bleeding tool (SST 09580 3D100QQK) has been retrofitted with a new and more durable brass air valve.

Upon receiving the improved air bleeding tool, locate and discard the current air bleeding tool equipped with a plastic valve as noted above.

NOTE: The new air bleeding tool may not fit in the SST toolbox drawer. When placing the air bleeding tool in its corresponding toolbox drawer, remove the four (4) rubber feet at the bottom of unit and place them in the drawer.
