DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor the alternator feedback (FR) Line
  1. Poor Connection
  2. Open or short in circuit
  3. Alternator
Enable Conditions
  • Engine Running > 1 sec.
Threshold value
  • Alternator feedback duty Cycle = 0% (no input)
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous (More than 20 second failure for every 25 second test)
MIL On Condition
  • No MIL (DTC only)
