Component Inspection

Visual check
1. Check discoloration by over-heating.
2. Check deflection or crack (hole)
3. Check noise.
Check Catalyst converter performance
1. Connect GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
2. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
3. Check the "Current Data" about related DTC with GDS.

  A: To compare the performance of the catalyst oxygen sensor 1 and 2 can be determined.
Confirm Part Inspection
1. Does the Catalyst converter operate properly? (Check variation)
  YES
  - Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  NO
  - Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
  - If problem still occurs, replace Catalyst Converter and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
