Repair procedures: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE:
    • The existing valve body cover gasket (A) must be replaced with a new one. (Do not reuse it.)

    • The existing eyebolt washers (8 pcs) must be replaced with new ones. (Do not reuse them.)

    • Install the clamp in the specified direction to prevent interference with surrounding components.
    • Perform the procedures below after replacing the valve body.
  2. Perform the procedures below after installing.
    1. Refill the automatic transaxle with fluid. (Refer to Fluid )
    2. Refill the engine & transaxle system with coolant. (Refer to COOLANT )
    3. Refill the hybrid motor cooling system with coolant and then perform the air bleeding using the KDS/GDS. (Refer to Hybrid Motor System - COOLANT )
    4. Clear the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) using the KDS/GDS. Disconnecting the battery negative terminal will not clear the DTCs. Clear DTCs using the KDS/GDS at all times.
    5. Reset the automatic transaxle adaptive values using the KDS/GDS.

    6. Perform the TCM adaptive values learning procedure. (Refer to Automatic Transaxle Control System - Adjustment  )
    7. Confirm that there is no fluid leakage on connections in the engine starting condition.
