Repair Procedures: Reassembly

  1. Apply the grease to the new support yoke (A).

    Specified Grease:  ALVANIA 0854

    Grease Quantity:  3 g

  2. Install the support yoke (A) to the gear box.
    NOTE: Be careful not to enter into the gearbox the foreign matter.
  3. Install the spring (A) to the support yoke.
  4. Tighten the yoke plug (A).

    Tightening Torque: 

    49.0 N.m (5.0 kgf.m, 36.2 lb.ft)

  5. Match the yoke plug groove (A), mark in the gearbox (B).
  6. Mark the yoke plug groove (A).
  7. Rotate the part (B) counter-clockwise till it reaches to the (A) marked in procedure No. 5.
  8. Install the steering gear box.
