  2. Open or short in signal circuit

  • Signal evaluation of current combustion implausible
  • Measuring window of knock evaluation implausible

  • Electrical check

  • Short circuit to ground, line A
  • Short circuit to ground, line B
  • Short circuit to battery, line A
  • Short circuit to battery, line B

Case 3 DTC Strategy
  • Signal check high
Enable Conditions
  • ECT greater than 40 °C (104 °F)
  • Engine speed greater than 2440 rpm
  • Engine load greater than 35 %
Threshold Value
  • Normalized reference level less than Upper limit, f (rpm)
Diagnostic Time
  • Immediate
Case 4 DTC Strategy
  • Signal check low
Enable Conditions
  • ECT greater than 40 °C (104 °F)
  • Engine speed greater than 2440 rpm
  • Engine load greater than 35 %
