Repair Procedures: Removal

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the tailgate trim (A).
(Refer to the "TAILGATE TRIM REPLACEMENT ")

Remove the tail gate latch assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

Loosen the PCU (Power Closing Unit) mounting nuts.

Disconnect the power tailgate latch connector (A) and PCU connector (B).

Remove the power tailgate latch & PCU assembly (A).
