Removal And Installation: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly. (Refer to "AIR CLEANER ").
  3. Remove the ETC module. (Refer to ETC - REMOVAL ).
  4. Remove the intake manifold stay (A).

  5. Disconnect the starter cable (A) from the B terminal on the solenoid, then disconnect the connector (B) from the S terminal.
  6. Remove the 2 bolts (C) holding the starter, then remove the starter.
  7. Remove the 2 bolts holding the starter, then remove the starter (A).

  8. Installation is the reverse of removal.

    Tightening torque: 

    Starter mounting bolt: 49.0 ~ 63.7 N.m (5.0 ~ 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 ~ 47.0 lb-ft)
