DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor the spark timing
  1. Intake system for blockage
  2. Throttle plate for carbon deposits
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage between 11V and 16V
  • Engine is running (idle).
  • Cold start catalyst light off active
  • Desired catalyst light off RPM offset is greater than 50 rpm
Threshold Value
  • Idle RPM Shiftup is lower than 50 rpm
  • Idle RPM Shiftup is greater than 50 rpm and the difference between target and actual idle rpm is more than 100 rpm
Diagnosis Time
  • 10 sec.
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
