Monitor GDS Data

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Press the ESC (ESP) Switch.
  4. Monitor the "ESP (ESC) Off Switch" parameter on the "Current Data" menu of the GDS.

    Specification:  ESP (ESC) switch parameter changed ON/OFF stats.

  5. Whenever the switch is pushed up/down, is the ESP (ESC) off switch's GDS data changed ON/OFF?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in ESP (ESC) switch line or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
