Main Crash Pad Assembly Replacement
NOTE:
- Pry the trim off using a plastic trim tool and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the body surface.
- Remove the following parts.
- Floor console assembly
- Front pillar trim
- Cowl side trim
- Instrument cluster
(Refer to "INSTRUMENT CLUSTER " )
- AVN head unit or audio unit
(Refer to "AVN HEAD UNIT " )
(Refer to "AUDIO UNIT " )
- Glove box housing
- Steering column shroud panel
- Steering wheel
(Refer to "STEERING WHEEL ")
- Multifunction switch assembly
(Refer to "MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH )
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the center speaker grill (A).
- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the center speaker assembly (A).
- Disconnect the center speaker connector (A).
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the auto light sensor (A).
- Disconnect the auto light sensor connector (B).
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the photo sensor (A).
- Disconnect the photo sensor connector (B).
- After loosening the mounting screw, then remove the crash pad center garnish [LH] (A).
- Disconnect the start/stop button switch connector (A).
- Loosen the mounting bolts.
- Disconnect the passenger's airbag connectors (A).
- After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, then remove the main crash pad assembly (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.NOTE:
- Make sure the crash pad fits onto the guide pins correctly.
- Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
- Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
- Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customers radio station presets.
