DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • To check CAN Communication status.
  1. At the driver's door open state (Out of SMK Sleep mode),
    1. CAN High line Short and Open.
    2. CAN Low line Short and Open.
    3. CAN High & Low line Short.
  2. Contact status of the connector.
  3. SMK Unit (PIC IMMO Unit)
    NOTE: At the Sleep mode, CAN High line is detected ground level and CAN Low line is detected battery level.
Enable Conditions
  • At the state of input battery voltage into a SMK.
  1. CAN High Battery Short.
  2. CAN High Ground Short.
  3. CAN High Line Open.
  4. CAN Low Battery Short.
  5. CAN Low Ground Short.
  6. CAN Low Line open.
  7. CAN High & Low Short.
Threshold value
  • When 12V voltage is detected, the battery shorted and when 0V voltage is detected, the battery grounded.
Diagnostic Time
  • This DTC is set, if failure persists for more than two seconds.
DTC Erasing Time
  • After repairing failure, clear DTC immediately
