Repair procedures: Removal

  1. Place the shift lever into the "N" position.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  3. Remove the engine cover (A).
  4. Remove the air duct (B).

  5. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
    1. Disconnect the breather hose (A) and the BARO sensor connector (B).
    2. Disconnect the air intake hose and then remove the air cleaner assembly (C).

  6. Disconnect the positive terminal and then remove the battery (A).

  7. Remove the battery tray (A).

  8. Disconnect the inhibitor switch connector (A).
  9. Remove the shift cable mounting nut (B).

  10. Remove the manual control lever (A) and the washer (B) after removing a nut (C).

  11. Remove the inhibitor switch (A) after removing the bolts (2ea).
