Control Circuit Inspection

Open Circuit Inspection
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect "OPU" & "PCM/TCM" connector.
3. "Measure resistance between PWM control line of OPU connector" and PWM control line of PCM/TCM.
  Specification: Approx. 0 Ω

4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
  YES
  - Go to next step.
  NO
  - Check circuit open of harness and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
Short Circuit Inspection
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect "Oil Pump Unit connector and PCM/TCM connector.
3. Measure a resistance between "PWM line of oil pump unit and Battery power.
  Specification: Infinite

4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
  YES
  - Go to next step.
  NO
  - Check harness for short circuit. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
Chassis Ground Short Inspection
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect "Oil Pump Unit connector and PCM/TCM connector.
3. Measure a resistance between "PWM line of oil pump unit and chassis ground.
  Specification: Infinite

4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
  YES
  - Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
  NO
  - Check harness for short circuit. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
