Tire Pressure Sensor: Removal

  1. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
    2. CAUTION: Avoid tire/tool contact with the valve while dismounting tire.
  2. Deflate tire and remove balance weights. The tire bead should be broken about 11 inches (30 cm) from the valve inside the wheel. The bead breaker should not be set too deep. Dismount should end near the valve.
  3. While supporting sensor with care, remove valve nut and remove sensor assembly.
  4. While supporting the rear of the valve so there is no movement, remove the seal and seal washer.
    CAUTION: The seal and seal washer should not be re-used, remove and discard.
