Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the driver airbag module.

    (Refer to DRIVER AIRBAG (DAB) MODULE AND CLOCK SPRING .)

  3. Remove the steering wheel after loosening the nut and disconnecting the connector (A).

    (Refer to STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT .)

    NOTE: Mark the steering wheel position for reinstallation.
  4. Loosen the screws (4 EA) on the opposite side of the steering wheel.

  5. Disconnect the cruise control switch connector (A).

  6. Remove the cruise control switch (B).
