DTC DETECTING CONDITION CHART

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal check, wiring interruption
  • Poor connection
  • Open or short in signal circuit
  • S2
General Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage > 10.7V
  • Upstream O2S Heater control ON
  • EGT around downstream O2S (O2S heater voltage) > 700C (> 9.2V)
Case 1 Threshold Value
  • Duration of 0.4 < down O2S < 0.52V (more than 3 sec)
Diagnostic Time
  • Average of loaded voltage. > 2.8V
Case 2 Enable Conditions
  • Catalyst temperature (model) > 600 °C
Threshold Value
  • Internal resistance > 40 kΩ
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycle

* S2: upstream oxygen sensor/S2: downstream oxygen sensor
